  18. Hi, all.  Just figures -- 4.05/6/whatever finally ships, and my 
  19. Toaster'll be out for another WEEK!  AAARGH! <sigh>

  21. Well, back to the subject... Anyone see the newest VTU (Oct 95)?  Page 
  22. 3:  The Blizzard 2060:
  23.     Full 50MHZ 6060 with FPU & MMU
  24.     Up to 128-megs RAM on-board, all auto-config using standard SIMMS
  25.     80-MIPS at best (my GVP 040/33 gets 26, so about 3-4x faster!)
  26.     060 can be disabled for 68000 boot mode ( the ad says "allowing 
  27.           the user to revert to a 68020" 020?  on 2500s, maybe...)
  28.     SCSI-II on board (10 megs/sec max)
  29.     Includes CD-ROM Files System and DynamiCahce (?)
  30.     Cost: $999!!!!! and that's RETAIL!!!

  32. Now, unlike the Cyebrstorm , that SCSI-II controller is ON THE BOARD, as 
  33. is the RAM.  The only thing that makes it worse than my GVP is lack of 
  34. I/O ports, but I never used those anyway.  (anyone want to buy a proven 
  35. GVP G-Force 040 33MHz/8 megs RAM (originally $1300) for $700 OBO?)

  37. Don't know if any RAM comes with it, but it'll be MUCH cheaper than 
  38. GVP-SIMMS (I'll go for 8-megers for $350(?) or so...)

  42. product won't be out for another 6 weeks.  Once it IS released, you can

  44. SPECS -- they don't know anything yet.

  66. recent ad).  I've NEVER seen that stuff before, and it's INCREDIBLE!
